Power Mindset
Dominate the Details
Renew your mindset on small things that can create massive results to live a happier, more fulfilling life. You need to increase awareness and reflect on the micro-moments that drive your potential greatness. Destroy long-held beliefs and classical orthodoxies. This will not be easy as it requires you to break free from habits that are holding you back and a mindset conditioned to reinforce those behaviors.
Be the best at what you can control. This means that while it’s important to work on improving the technical, tactical, and physical elements of your game, you should always control the what is in your control - do the little things well. This allows you to keep progressing on your goals and break through plateaus. Focus on the little things for big results.
· Wake up and get you shit straight - It’s all in the pre-game and everything is about the pre-game – the mental slideshow of you achieving the activity from the minute you wake up.
· How you show up is huge - Show up each day on time and with a great attitude
· Be a giver versus a taker – encourage stakeholders in your goal journey or teammates especially when negativity creeps-in.
· Own your day each and every damn minute - Maintain positive body language - chin up, shoulders back, and confident smile
· Deliver the same message inside your head outwards - Communicate clearly, honestly, and compassionately
· Be open minded – look for ways to receive ‘constructive’ feedback from people that have achieve the goal prior, not from the pretenders who offer opinion.
· Be present and focus on the now – do not focus on what you can’t do, make a plan today and get moving.
· Focus on what you can do right now, not fixating on what you can’t yet do
A small dose of ‘kick-ass’ is what the doctor ordered
It is really easy to outperform when things are going great. What happens when there are setbacks and you know what there will be, trust me. That is not negative, it is being realistic. Your character and determination comes into focus when everything goes to shit. When the adversity demon comes to pay you a visit it is only a rock star who pushes forward toward the objective to and through the goal.
The mindset of true mental strength needs to be tested from time to time to build resilience in your muscle memory – so you don’t fall to pieces when setbacks show up in your life. Be realistic and honest with yourself, but find a way to win each day in some way. The whole point of mental skills training is to prepare you for your greatest disappointments and biggest setbacks, so you can face them with resilience, courage, and commitment. Do not bitch and moan, move from complaint to commitment. Commit to do something differently to change the situation and fuel your mindset and spirit..
